WE TOO ARE BIG DATA

We live in a world where everything is measurable and where people and every device we can think of
are connected to the Internet 24/7. This network of connections and sensors generates an incredible
amount of data and offers a wealth of new and fascinating possibilities that, collectively, we call “big
data”. However, data collection and analysis is not something that has appeared recently. Ever since
ancient Egypt and the Roman Empire, people have relied on data to make better decisions, solve
practical problems, or gain military advantage over an adversary.

However, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the development of digital technologies and artificial
intelligence have irreversibly changed the previous data ecosystem. They have allowed us to collect data
sets that are so large and typologically diverse that they surpass the analytical capabilities of standard
data processing programs, and therefore, advanced artificial intelligence tools, which are able to analyse
data in real-time, are usually used for these purposes.

At this exhibit, you will have the opportunity to find out how big data is transforming our reality. You will
discover how these technologies are changing healthcare, science, agriculture and industry. How they
help us to better understand art, history and religion. How they allow us to achieve better results in
sports and enjoy our free time more. How they change the way we live and interact with the world.
What challenges and risks they bring with them, as well as how to prevent these challenges and
adequately respond to them.
